Xhubleta
This printed artwork celebrates the Xhubleta, an iconic traditional dress worn by women in northern Albania, particularly in the Albanian Alps. Recognisable by its distinctive bell-shaped silhouette, the Xhubleta carries centuries of history, craftsmanship and cultural identity.
Through this painting, I wanted to honour the beauty, symbolism and remarkable artistry behind this ancestral garment. Every detail reflects a heritage passed down through generations, embodying the strength, elegance and identity of Albanian women.
More than a traditional costume, the Xhubleta is a living symbol of Albania's cultural memory and artistic heritage.
An artwork dedicated to preserving the beauty of our roots and keeping our traditions alive.
